Girl Scouts are invited to join us on Saturday, March 23 for admission discounts and programs that help fulfill badge requirements.
B.S.A. Scout Day
Boy Scouts can join us on Sunday, March 24 for Cub Scout or Merit Badge programs – as well as discounted admission.
Register Now for Homeschool Day on April 10
Homeschool families can take a special educational dive into the marine world through discounted admission and grade-appropriate programs during “Homeschool Day” on Wednesday, April 10!
This day makes the Aquarium’s traditional school group programs accessible to homeschool families. Students will participate in educational programs led by Aquarium educators, including classroom-based programs for ages 4 & up and storytime in our "Sea & Discover Zone" for kids 5 & under!
Sensory-Friendly Morning Returns April 6
Join us on Saturday, April 6 for a special morning that will give guests with sensory-processing differences a fun, comfortable, and accepting environment to enjoy all the Aquarium has to offer.
From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., lights will be lower, and music and other sounds will be turned down or off. Plus, we will show movies in our 4D Theater without special effects.
Sessions are Filling Up Fast ... Sign Up Now for Summer Camp
Dive in and explore the fantastic ocean of wonder at our summer camp. Our program integrates science with art and literature to deepen children’s understanding of animals and the environment.
Young campers will explore the wonders of the ocean world through fun stories and games. Older kids will learn how technology and engineering can solve complex environmental problems like water pollution, marine debris, and storm resiliency.
Sleepover at the Aquarium this Spring!
Available Dates: April 19 & 26, May 3 & 31 & June 7
Imagine falling asleep as jellies float next to you and sharks prowl just on the other side of the glass! That’s just some of what you’ll experience during your group sleepover at The Maritime Aquarium.
Your group will meet a variety of animals at our Intertidal Touch Tank, visit our Shark and Ray Touch Pool, and go behind the scenes of our giant shark exhibit! Before settling into your sleeping bags for the night, enjoy some arts and crafts, followed by experiencing a film in our 4D theater. In the morning, watch a private seal feeding demonstration and participate in an exciting scavenger hunt.
Be a Community Scientist!
The diamondback terrapin is a species of special concern in Connecticut. Attend a virtual training session on March 28 or April 1 to join our Terrapin Tracking Team to help us monitor roadways for terrapin mortalities this spring and summer.
Join us for a virtual session to learn about how you and your family can get involved in The City Nature Challenge on March 19! This international effort for people to find and document plants and wildlife in cities across the globe is taking place April 26 - 29.
