Continuing to be recognized as one of the best places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Kansas, our event features one of the first 5k runs of the season, live Irish entertainment, family fun, authentic handmade Irish food, vendors, crafts, Irish whiskey, and craft and domestic beer throughout the day. Topeka IrishFest is one of the top Northeast Kansas ethnic event, attracting people from Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan and Kansas City area. Topeka IrishFest runs in conjunction with the Topeka St. Patrick’s Day parade attracting over 70,000 people to beautiful downtown Topeka.

Join us in beautiful Downtown Topeka for Topeka IrishFest 2025! We will once again be celebrating our Irish pride and everything green down on Evergy Plaza, Saturday, March 15th! IrishFest will kick off at 10:00 with our annual Mater Dei IrishFest 5k Fun Run/Walk, beer tent, authentic Irish food, whiskey tasting, live music and more! Of course our celebration wouldn’t be complete without the Topeka St. Patrick’s Day parade! The parade kicks off at noon and you will have prime views from the plaza.

Donknado from beautiful Topeka, KS kicks off our day with a mixture of bluegrass and plenty of good ol’ drinking songs to get your St. Paddy’s weekend started off right!

From Lawrence, KS by way of Ireland, Carswell & Hope bring vintage rock sounds and sensibilities together with big harmonies, carefully crafted textures and inventive songwriting.

Carswell & Hope were formed in 2012 when Irishman Nick Carswell arrived in Lawrence, Kansas with guitar in hand. He found Jason Slote (drums), Austin Quick (bass/keys) and Jordan Tucker (guitar) and they released their debut LP A Hunger in 2014, accompanied by an Irish tour. Since then, Ryan McCall has completed the line-up on keys, and C&H have built a following in the US Midwest, sharing bills with Mayer Hawthorne, The Mowglis, Glenn Tilbrook (of Squeeze) and Mundy (IRL).

IrishFest 5k:
Get ready for another thrilling race as we gear up for the annual event at Evergy Plaza! The race will kick off and conclude at the plaza, where the Irish Festival will be in full swing, featuring live music, captivating entertainment, delicious authentic Irish cuisine, and a wide selection of beverages suitable for all ages.
