Friends of Camp Verde Library - eNewsletter December 2022

HO-HO-HO!  It is hard to believe that December is already here and that 2022 is almost gone! 

The Friends wrapped up our Fall Fundraiser Gift Basket Silent Auction right before Thanksgiving. It was a BIG success! It wouldn’t have happened without all of you! Thank you for supporting our new idea. It was so festive and inviting! Brenda Hauser was delighted to find the 1885 Morgan Silver Dollar in one of the baskets she purchased. Next year we will bring back the wreath contest that everyone enjoys so much.

We were very lucky to have not one, but TWO, quilts donated for a raffle this month. Purchase red tickets for the Christmas throw, blue tickets for the lovely dark sky quilt, or some of each. They are selling for $5 and will be drawn on December 20th. Come in and take a look at them right when you walk into our library! Each quilt is hand-pieced with intricate machine quilting.

Our Holiday Boutique is up and running!  It is located on the second floor right outside of the Book Nook. So many interesting items including gorgeous serving dishes, salad bowls, wrapped gift mugs of many shapes and sizes, Christmas books, candles, ornaments, purses, Christmas cards, yarn, baskets, scarves and so much more! You could find a real bargain that will make the perfect gift for that special person! Ambie has been so busy getting the library shelves at Sweet Pea all decked out for the holidays too!  So many new and wonderful things that might appeal to you there also! She makes sure that everything looks fabulous! There is a great selection of nice books to choose from for everyone on your gift list. Stop by and see for yourselves.

If you still don’t know what to get that person who has everything, why not buy them a Bashas' Community Gift Card? Who couldn't use a nice gift card to go shopping for their favorite groceries? Bashas' is still giving us 6% of whatever we spend while using their card. No cost to you at all! It is free money to our library every month. There is a tiny tree at the main Circulation Desk with ornaments that explain the Bashas' Community card. When you buy a card for $10 you get card preloaded with $10! Add more money to your card to keep on giving to the library. Just take your card into Bashas and they will be happy to add more dollars to the card.  An easy gift that will put a smile on someone’s face for sure!
