From: Town Of Dedham

Project Overview:

Construction of a combined public safety building commenced in December 2020 on the site of the former Town Hall at 26 Bryant Street. The new building will house the staff and equipment of Fire, Police, and Dispatch departments. The new combined Public Safety Building will replace two older Town buildings: Police Station at 600 High Street (built in 1962) and the Fire Station at 436 Washington Street (built in 1952). The new building is scheduled to open in early 2023.

livestream video of the construction is available on the Project website! Tune in from anywhere to watch the continued progress on the Combined Public Safety Building. While there, check out the updated Before-and-After photos of the progress onsite.

Moving to the New Building

Beginning March 3, 2023, the Fire Department and Dispatch Team will begin moving into the new Public Safety Building using a phased approach to ensure service to the community remains uninterrupted. The Police Department will subsequently move into the building after the Fire and Dispatch moves are complete.

Save the Date! The Town of Dedham invites you to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 1:00 PM to celebrate the opening of the new building. The event will include remarks from elected officials and our Police and Fire Chiefs, and guided tours will be provided. We hope to see you there!
