On Sunday, December 11, 2022 at approximately 11:00 p.m., a resident of Moose Hill Road Trumbull was shot and wounded when a firearm belonging to the homeowner was discharged.

The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and was later released.

The residents who were involved are cooperating with the police investigation. The preliminary information gathered at the scene indicates that the incident was accidental.

Trumbull Police Detectives are actively working on this investigation, and no charges have been filed as of this time.
