From: Town of Wakefield

The Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) Board of Directors voted today, December 21, to approve the Wakefield Memorial High School Schematic Design and budget. The MSBA also voted to increase the reimbursable construction cost per-square-foot cap, resulting in up to approximately $65 million of project costs reimbursed to the Town.  This reduces the Town’s share to approximately $208 million. The Town has 120-days to approve project funding prior to MSBA executing a Project Funding Agreement with the Town.

On December 22 at 12 p.m., the Town Council will vote to set a date for the Special Town Meeting for residents to vote on this project.
