From: Town Of WellesleyWellesley has a new Director of Senior Services to begin the new year.
Deb Greenwood is settling into her new role at the Council on Aging (COA) and brings many years of experience working in Human Services to her job, including directing programs and services for older individuals. She also has experience working at a Council on Aging and in Human Resource Management.
According to COA Board Chair Tony Parker, Deb was a unanimous choice for the job. "She has all the ingredients to make for a great director," he said.
Among Deb's first tasks are getting to know Wellesley seniors and others in the community. The COA is holding a welcome reception on Wednesday, January 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Tolles Parsons Center (500 Washington Street). The public is invited to attend.
"I hope as many people as possible will stop by and say hello," said Deb.
Greenwood takes over from former COA Director Heather Munroe who left in April 2022. Prior to Greenwood's arrival, Health and Social Services Administrator Kate Burnham and former Assistant Director of Senior Services Greg Wilson served as interim directors.
Welcome, Deb!
