Local Veterans can learn about the PACT Act at a workshop on Thursday, February 9. 

The PACT (Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics) Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. 

The workshop will take place in-person from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Framingham Elks Lodge (450 Union Avenue).  Food and snacks will be provided and a disability claims clinic will be available. 

High levels of cancers are begin diagnosed in Veterans who fought in the Global War in Terrorism. In addition, the PACT Act identifies other eligible time periods dating back to the 1960s where Veterans may qualify for care.
