Trailnet Update: Tucker Boulevard Improvements for All!

Clubs and Organizations

October 7, 2025

Trailnet's Connecting St. Louis plan comes to life

A new project is underway to make Tucker Boulevard safer and more welcoming for YOU, whether you bike, walk, catch the bus, or drive.

Trailnet's Connecting St. Louis plan presented a vision for a network of safe connections for biking and walking. Now, several projects inspired by that vision are coming to life, including on Tucker Boulevard!

You can look forward to improvements like...

- A two-way protected cycle track connecting north and south downtown
- Safer crosswalks thanks to shorter crossing distances and better visibility
- ADA-accessible curb ramps

Thank you for being part of this movement. Trailnet relies on you to push for this bold vision. We are in this together!

ICYMI: The network is growing!

In case you missed it, this is just one of several projects inspired by Connecting St. Louis and that are underway now.

Earlier this month, MoDOT broke ground on a project to add protected bike lanes to Chouteau Avenue/Route 100 - a first in the department's history!

And earlier this summer, construction started on the Tower Grove Connector, the first two-way protected cycletrack in the City of St. Louis.

All of these projects - and more - stem from recommendations in the Connecting St. Louis plan. Ever since planning began in 2017 and the plan’s publication in 2019, Trailnet has championed these efforts by advocating for their implementation, helping secure funding, and rallying public support. Together, we are building the network we envisioned!
