Ullr Fest is an annual celebration of all things winter and snow! Breckenridge visitors and locals alike gather to praise the Norse God of snow, Ullr, in hopes of a powder-filled ski season.

Grab your Viking hats and celebrate all things winter at the 59th annual Ullr Fest, December 8-10. Breckenridge invites locals and visitors of all ages to praise Ullr, the Norse god of snow, in hopes of a powder-filled ski season. Show your devotion at the Main Street parade and become part of history at the longest Shotski “unofficial” World Record breaking attempt. If you’re in for a legendary party, this is one you won’t want to miss!

Thursday, December 8, 2022
3:30pm: Crowning of the Ullr King and Queen
Continuing 59 years of tradition, two local residents are chosen as the Ullr King and Queen for their contributions in the community and their love of snow.

Location: Blue River Plaza

Cost: Free

4:00pm: World’s Longest ShotSki Unofficial World Record Breaking Attempt
Join the Breckenridge Distillery and the Breckenridge Mountain Rotary in their quest to beat the unofficial world record for longest shotski!

We are looking for 1,300+ people to help us beat the current world record held by Park City, UT! Grab your friends and sign up today to join Breckenridge during Ullr Fest and be part of the world-famous Ullr shotski!

Must be 21 years old to participate.

Location: Main Street

Cost: $15 per person to participate. All proceeds benefit the Breckenridge Mountain Rotary.

4:30pm – 6:00pm: Ullr Parade
The highlight of the week, the Ullr Fest Parade, showcases Breckenridge’s wild winter fun while taking over Main Street. There will be cash prizes for the most creative floats!

Cost: Free to attend and participate!

5:30pm – 7:00pm: Ullr Bonfire
Join us for the town bonfire and celebrate the ultimate homage to Ullr! We’ll burn old Christmas Trees from previous years and pay homage to Ullr!

8:00pm: Ullr Comedy Night
Join us on Friday, December 9th for an evening of laughs with Jimmy Dunn with proceeds supporting Carriage House Early Learning Center!

Featuring: Jimmy Dunn is an actor and comedian who is most recognized from the CBS sitcom The McCarthys, where he co-starred as Sean McCarthy. He got his start in the comedy world performing stand-up at a bar in Gloucester, Massachusetts, where he was paid in beer and fried clams. Since then, Jimmy has gone on to perform on some of the comedy world’s biggest stages, including Montreal’s Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, The Late Show with David Letterman, CONAN, and Comics Come Home with Denis Leary.

2:30pm – 4:00pm: Ullr Ice Skating Party
Glide, twirl and skate to an ice skating celebration for Ullr.  Bring the kids for an afternoon of ice skating. Skate rentals are available in figure skates as well as hockey skates.  For young, first time skaters the ice rink offers skating aids to enhance stability.

Location: Stephen C. West Ice Arena

Cost: Free Entry: $4.00 Skate Rental

6:00pm: Winter Ice Skating Show
Enjoy an evening of holiday-themed entertainment at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena’s winter skate show. This family show includes performances by local youth and adult figure skaters, showcasing skills and routines prepared over months of practice.

Kids ages 3 and under are Free!

Time: Doors open at 5:30pm

Location: Stephen C. West Ice Arena

Cost: $10 per ticket. Kids ages 3 and under are Free!
