At a meeting held December 19, 2022, the Lisle Village Board approved a flat property tax levy that includes an abatement of the corporate portion of the levy in an amount of $250,000. The decision was based on the Village's current financial position and in recognition of current economic pressures faced by Lisle property owners. The $4.9 million property tax levy is for the 2022 tax year and is payable by property owners in 2023.

Under the approved levy, a home valued at $361,400 would save an estimated $30.79. The Village currently receives approximately $0.05 of every $1.00 paid in property taxes, or five percent of a resident’s overall tax bill, with the remainder being paid to other taxing bodies such as schools, DuPage County, and other service districts.

The Village’s budget takes place on a fiscal year, which begins May 1, 2023 and concludes April 30, 2024. The proposed budget for the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year will include investments in the Village’s road, water, and sewer infrastructure in addition to several initiatives aimed at achieving the objectives of the Village’s 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.
