Hours: Wednesday–Monday, 11am–7pm

Ticonic Gallery is pleased to present Potluck, an exhibition centered on the work of Jenny Ibsen, a printmaker, ceramicist, storyteller, and restaurant worker based in Portland. Curated with Diana Tuite, this installation is centered on a tablescape and features contributions from collaborators Heather Flor Cron, Alana Dao, and Raquel P. Miller. The metaphor of the potluck touches upon issues of care, sustenance and sustainability, and labor, and all of these themes will be explored through shared meals and conversations.
Funded in part by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and our exhibition sponsors: Kennebec Savings Bank, Morning Sentinel + Kennebec Journal, and PRO Moving Services.

Free screening, sponsored by the Colby Center for the Arts and Humanities.
Ever have a game night that seems to go on forever? When a magical board game comes to life and releases jungle-themed dangers into their small New England town, two children (including Kirsten Dunst, fresh off of Interview with a Vampire) find themselves dealing with more than they bargained for. As each roll of the dice unleashes wild creatures and perilous challenges, they have to find a way to harness the effects of their increasingly chaotic game night. With a scene-stealing performance by Robin Williams and a blend of humor, heart, and edge-of-your-seat excitement, Jumanji is a timeless classic. Featuring a brief introduction and trivia contest with prizes, this film is part of the 2023-2025 Colby Center for the Arts and Humanities theme, PLAY!

Forever full of ear tugging, eye popping surprises, ever eclectic singer, songwriter and actress Macy Gray returns in top form with an inspired new 11 song Moonslice Records album “ The Reset” and within a fresh new presentation fronting her own band, The California Jet Club. Produced by Tommy Parker, The Reset reveals 360 degrees of Macy Gray at her lyrically introspective and vocally exuberant best. The songs move from Macy’s signature vulnerable intimacy on the lead single, “Thinking of You,” the epic orchestral ballad “You Got Away” and the festive, sexy circus of “Bottom to the Top” to the resoundingly rebounding singalong uplift of “Every Night” featuring special guest, rapper Maino.

An NYT Critics' Pick. "An intimate, moving, intelligent doc about the frontlines of women’s healthcare." -Jessica Kiang, Variety. In one of the most talked about films from this year's Berlinale, veteran documentarian Claire Simon observes the everyday operations of the gynecological ward in a public hospital in Paris. Amidst scenes of babies wailing, C-sections, and patients young and old, cis and trans, Simon navigates her own cancer diagnosis, which "adds a fresh layer of depth to this already profound meditation on patients, and women at large" –NYT.
