What George Logan WON’T Say Speaks Volumes

Government and Politics

Waterbury, CT — Fifth District Congresswoman Jahana Hayes debated her Republican challenger George Logan Wednesday evening, in a live, televised debate that is garnering national attention for Logan’s refusal to say the name of his party’s presidential candidate at any time during the 60-minute exchange.

While Logan said he will be voting for the Republican “Presidential ticket,” he refused to say the name Donald Trump despite repeated opportunities to do so.

Logan also refused to condemn the effort to overturn the 2020 election on January 6th: Congresswoman Hayes said despite Logan’s talk of being “bipartisan,” he would vote for the person who incited the violence of January 6th.

Congresswoman Hayes pointed out that Logan is also on record saying he will support the extreme agenda of the Republican Study Committee, but he claimed to have no knowledge of Project 2025.

Speaking to reporters after the debate, Congresswoman Hayes said, “You’re running for congress for the second time. It would be malpractice if someone is running for congress and had never heard of Project 2025.

She continued, “I think people saw tonight, once again, that he’s not going to answer questions, he’s not going to be direct, it’s going to be more and more evasiveness. And that’s what they could expect from him.”
