2022-2023 BRIC Podcast Intensive Applications Announced

Application period: Tue, Nov. 15, 2022 - Fri, Jan. 6 2023 

The BRIC Podcast Intensive will guide you through all of the stages of starting a podcast. In this class, a group of 12 will be selected to write, produce, record, and edit a podcast episode on a topic or subject of their choice.

Brooklyn, USA Season 7 has launched!

In this season of BRIC TV podcast Brooklyn, USA, we’re taking an in-depth look at work and the history and future of labor organizing in Brooklyn.

In "Unions Are Cool Again," the season's first episode, we spoke with Dr. Joshua Freeman, CUNY professor and author of Working-Class New York: Life and Labor Since World War II; and Celeste Headlee, NPR journalist and author of Do Nothing: How to Break Away from Overworking, Overdoing, and Underliving.

Every Wednesday until Dec. 14, a new episode will launch on BRIC’s website, Spotify, iTunes, and other major platforms.

This holiday season, we’re thrilled to host BEM | books & more for a holiday pop-up at BRIC House Nov. 16 - Dec. 23, Wed - Sun, 12 - 8PM! BEM is the nation’s first Black food bookstore, bringing together readers, writers, cooks, and eaters passionate about Black cultures in all their diversity. 

Plus, on Sat, Nov. 19 from 3-5PM, the BEM | books & more pop-up will host a meet and greet and signing of Ghetto Gastro Presents Black Power Kitchen

Toshi Reagon: Sacred Revolution at Symphony Space

Toshi Reagon and a collective of artists perform an evening-length song cycle exploring how sacred sounds become the engine of revolution.
