Will the NC State Board of Elections Follow the Law or Protect Joe Biden?

Government and Politics

June 26, 2024

On Wednesday, June 26, the N.C. State Board of Elections will meet to certify three new political parties for the 2024 General Election.

Or will they?

National and State Democrats are objecting to the certification of two of these parties: We The People and Justice For All. (Yes, shocking it's just these two.)

Both parties have met the requirements for certification. But that's not enough for Democrats, who are set to yet again use shady administrative tactics to keep them off the ballot in the name of protecting Joe Biden.

Let's be clear: There is no valid reason not to approve the parties.

Democrats tried this in 2022, trying to keep the Green Party off the ballot during a U.S. Senate race. The result? The Green Party won and Democrats were ordered to pay their legal fees

Yet, this is a party that has shown time and again there is no action too outrageous or too extreme they won't make to protect Joe Biden. This is the latest sign they are terrified they will lose North Carolina again just like Democrats have over the last several election cycles.

Today, the NCSBE can do the right thing and act with transparency and consistency. If they don't, it shows they have NO interest in acting according to the law -- only their own political outcomes.
