The Studio presents multiple full-length productions each year, plus a Winter Shorts Festival in February. The Festivals feature short, one-act plays, many of which are written by our students. In addition, the Studio tours two short plays to Springfield Elementary Schools.  All plays are chosen to uplift the adolescent experience and any student is eligible to audition for a production.

Full-length plays are chosen to extend the training of our students, providing them with the opportunity to take part in a wide range of playwrighting and performing styles. We have produced plays by such classical writers as Shakespeare, Moliere, and Aristophanes and dramatic adaptations of works by Dickens, Orwell, Chaucer, and Boccaccio. Contemporary dramatists have included Horton Foote, David Mamet, Tim Mason, Suzan Zeder, Constance Congdon, and Jeffrey Hatcher. Over 150 dramas, comedies, and musicals have been presented since our inception, many of which were premiered at the Studio.

Each performance in our Winter Shorts Festival has a different line up. Before buying your ticket, please confirm you have the correct performance date for the play you wish to see.
