Background:

- As Governor, Walz proposed numerous tax hikes on Minnesota residents that would have expanded their tax burden by more than $10 billion.

- While Minneapolis descended into chaos during the 2020 riots, Governor Walz delayed in committing the Minnesota National Guard for three days. Governor Walz also reneged on his promise to provide police with more resources. On Walz’s watch, Minneapolis ultimately suffered a 21% loss in police officers between 2020 and 2021.
