Under Donald Trump, America has seen the weakest three-month period of job growth since the pandemic
Seattle, WA - Responding to today’s July jobs report, Chair Shasti Conrad released the following statement:
“Six months into Donald Trump’s second administration, Washington families are reeling from inflation and job losses. As they brace for devastating health care and job cuts unleashed by Trump’s billionaire-first agenda, today’s job report reveals Washingtonians are already in a world of pain from the weakest three-month period of job growth since the pandemic. Trump promised he’d deliver a “Golden Age” for America. Instead, as Republicans travel home for the August recess, they’ll have to sell a tanking economy and the biggest transfer of wealth from working families to the wealthy in our nation’s history. Washingtonians aren’t buying it. Washington Republicans will feel more than just the summer heat from their constituents this August recess, and Trump and Republicans will face the consequences at the ballot box.”
