16 Prospect wine bar & bistro is located in the center of charming Westfield, NJ. In the front we have a warm bar, lounge, and stage area featuring live music five nights a week while a 72 seat dining room occupies the back. Our menu is a reflection of the varied interests and eclectic tastes of our owners, making us unique among restaurants in Westfield NJ. Our dishes feature fresh ingredients accompanied by bold flavors, a focus on making everything in-house down to the bread, fruit juices, cocktail mixes and bar snacks. This dedication to excellence at every level adds up to a memorable experience.

Once inside our doors, you will notice an atmosphere reminiscent of a lower Manhattan jazz club without the travel or high prices. In the warmer months, we offer outdoor and courtyard dining on a first come first served basis. The address on Prospect street affords the outdoor diner the benefit of a downtown location on the quietest street in the central business district. Few other Westfield NJ restaurants have live music performed by local musicians five nights a week with a primary focus on Jazz.

The best of Westfield New Jersey restaurants is owned and operated by Westfield natives Timothy and Christopher Boyle. Both are culinary school graduates. Timothy graduated from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Ecole du Cuisine, Paris France. After graduating Timothy worked in Paris and London before returning to the United States to work in New York, New Brunswick, and Westfield.

Christopher is a graduate of Seton Hall with a degree in Fine Arts and business. After a career which carried Chris from Princeton to the New York Stock Exchange he entered the Culinary Institute of America. Chris's externship was completed at Adair Manor in Adair, Ireland. His European journey finished with a position in Strousborg, Germany. Chris has achieved a superb culinary resume which includes the Ryland Inn, which garnered a spot in the Top 10 American Restaurants with Chris on the line, and as a member of the opening staff of The Huntley Tavern.
