About Us:
The Aberdeen School District has been serving the educational needs of students since 1884. The District enrolls 3700 students in six elementary schools, one junior high, one traditional high school, one alternative high school and an early childhood center.
Aberdeen offers a nationally recognized, free preschool for four year olds. An elementary school gifted program is offered to qualified students. The District also supervises a two-district special services cooperative, as well as, a two - district vocational education program.
Comprehensive offerings at the high school provide vocational, general studies and college preparation. Computer usage begins with preschool students and becomes a frequently used curriculum tool throughout all grades.
The strengths of the District are its supportive parents, outstanding staff, caring school board members and responsive and respectful students. The staff is experienced, professional and highly motivated to help students grow academically and socially.
