History:
Sensei Robert Duzoglou has been developing in the martial arts for over 33 years. During this time he has had the honor of studying and training with some of the very best martial artists in the field. From World Muay Thai, Shidokan, and Kiokoshin Heavy Weight Champion Moti Horenstein, to world-renowned masters such as Michael DePasquale Sr.Dan Inosanto, and Steve LaValle. Along with this vast experience, several earned Black Belts, and numerous accreditations (including Instructor certification from the National Association of Professional Martial Artists), Sensei Robert formulated the RDCA system; Robert Duzoglou’s Combative Arts.
The style includes an array of arts such as Karate, Muay Thai, Aikido, Jiu-Jitsu, and JKD. At first we classified it as Karate. However, after growing popularity and success on the tournament circuit, people would require a further clarification. With the insistence of Shihan Elliott, and the review and subsequent approval of Hanshi John Pachivas, the RDCA system was born and certified in the presence of over 100 Black Belts. RDCA now has three schools in Florida with an assembly of instructors from Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and Europe coupled with and endless growth cycle.
Philosophy:
Our real success in with personal development. With over 360 students, three locations, a strong staff and vast teaching experience, we have honed a very special program strong in personal development and strong moral, ethical, and life values. One of these programs includes the STAR Program, which is a nationally recognized Character Development Program developed by the Heinz Foundation and is presently being used in many academies all across the country. Before advancing, students must be approved by both their parents and teachers. This builds a strong sense of responsibility in and out of the dojo. Additionally we work on public speaking, leadership skills, and most importantly spiritual growth.
