All Saints Episcopal Church

1250 Spear St.
802-862-9750

Mission Statement: All saints is called by god to be an inviting welcoming and supportive christian community to all people seeking to grow in faith and do god's work in the world.

All Saints Episcopal Church is a welcoming, caring, and supportive community. You may arrive as a stranger, but you quickly become friends with, and supporters of, the people who worship alongside you.

You are invited to participate in the service, including receiving the Eucharist, and to join us for a wonderful, chatty coffee hour immediately following the 10 AM service. The coffee hour is a great opportunity for new parishioners to get to know our community and all the interesting people in it.

Parishioners often recall their first impressions of All Saints as a genuinely friendly, accepting, loving and active community. One first-time visitor, who had casually mentioned in attending one of our adult forums, was very impressed by a quick follow-up by the church inviting her to attend the forum. That prompted the visitor to attend the next forum.

There are many opportunities to get involved in a variety of programs at All Saints. There is a weekly adult forum that examines, in a thoughtful, open-minded way, the various aspects of the Bible and the Christian faith.  We have a very active, creative children's program that gives them opportunities to participate in meaningful, personalized activities.  The church also has a pastoral care team,  prayer group, book club, community garden and outreach program.

All Saints deals with challenges, not as insurmountable obstacles, but as opportunities to build steppingstones. The ongoing COVID pandemic is one big example. The doors of the church were closed and locked, not once, but twice. How would the congregation stay connected? How could they support each other  in all the ways they had done so naturally through the years? Technology provided a solution. Parishioners, or various ages, grappled with the unfamiliar system, Zoom, and had some good laughs along the way.  Services were held on Sundays via Zoom at 10 AM and a virtual coffee hour with open mic was provided at the end of the service. Other church programs used Zoom as well.
