The purpose of the Alliance Area Development Foundation is to positively impact retention of companies, to assist companies in their expansion, and to attract new companies to the alliance area. The AADF accomplishes its purpose by assisting local companies, area Governments, and economic developement organisations in building successful and complementary relationships that result in business growth.

History:

Formed in September of 1999 by a group of business and community leaders interested in encouraging business development in the Alliance area, the Foundation has already made an impact on the economic development of the area. Since 1999, Alliance has experienced positive changes.

The AADF is an excellent Resource Center for businesses planning to expand, relocate or startup.

- Offers direction and guidance to area companies with their relocation or expansion requirements.

- Works closely with SBA, area lending institutions, Stark Development Board, State of Ohio, and local governments in providing financial assistance to its clients.

- Works closely with educational institutions defining programs to strengthen workforce development.

- Assists local companies with their training and workforce needs.
