About Us:

Constructed in 1953 with additions and upgrades in 1957, 1961, 1989, and 2009, Altamont Elementary School is home to approximately 300 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. In addition to the principal, there are 29 classroom and special area teachers, including a full-time social worker, a part-time English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher and a part-time school psychologist. There is also numerous support staff which includes teaching assistants, aides and monitors, cafeteria workers, custodians and office staff.
