Altrusa International of Salina is an international association of  women who volunteer their energies and expertise in projects dedicated to community betterment. Altrusa is a community service organizaiton that espouses volunteerism, service, and fights for literacy. Altrusa International of Salina is a member of District Eight .  District Eight has 27 clubs in the four states of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. District Eight offers an annual conference, workshops and training leadership for all members.   Members of Altrusa International of Salina are also members of Altrusa International, Inc.   Despite it's international focus, Altrusa clubs are grassroots organizations working in their own backyards for the betterment of others.
