The American Chemical Society (ACS) is the world's largest scientific society and one of the world's leading sources of authoritative scientific information. The Southen Nevada Local Section of the American Chemical Society consists of roughly 250 members that live in the southern part of Nevada. Local section activities are conducted primarily in the Las Vegas Area. Regular events include: educational outreach, Earth Day event, National Chemistry Week event, field trips, annual research poster competition, monthly seminar talks, and the annual award ceremony.
