About Pritzker School
The A. N. Pritzker School is a fine and performing arts magnet school in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Academic programs at the school include a fine and performing arts magnet program and a regional gifted center.
In 2004 and in 2005, Pritzker School was recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education as an Illinois Spotlight School where high academic performance is closing the "achievement gap" between low-income and high-income students.
The National Center for Educational Accountability has rated Pritzker School as a "Consistently Higher Performing Elementary School" in math & science for exhibiting outstanding performance across multiple grades and multiple years. This rating is based on the NCEA's analysis of standardized test scores and other school data for grades 3 to 5 from 2003, 2004, & 2005. Only a handful of Chicago Public Schools were rated higher.
