Mission:
In the belief that the arts are essential to a healthy community, it is the mission of the Arts Center of Saint Peter to stimulate and support artistic activity throughout southern Minnesota. We accomplish this mission through exhibits, performances, education, and community outreach.
About Us:
The Arts Center of Saint Peter re-organized in 1999 from its parent organization the Arts and Heritage Council. With the loss of AHC's home in a historic school building in the March 1998 tornado, the Arts Center of Saint Peter opened its newly acquired and remodeled arts facility in June 2000. On Minnesota Avenue (Main Street), St. Peter, the Arts Center offers handicapped-accessible gallery space, performance space, arts group meeting and classroom areas.
The new Arts Center on Minnesota Avenue opened in June 2000 Additionally, it is the home of a growing Clay Center, SPact ( St. Peter Area Children's Theatre), The Saint Peter Fiber Artists, Drawing Group, and the Heritage Carvers.
