ART Without Borders is a non-profit organization ( 501(c) (3) (status due in January), incorporated in April 2006, with a mission to support artists who are or have been victims of human rights violation and abuse. We promote and support the artists and their works through our network of members.
OUR MISSION
ARTwb believes that art helps to create mutual respect among diverse cultures and values.
We know that artists are often the first victims of human rights violations and abuses.
Our mission is to:
support and assist individuals, networks and organizations dedicated to preserving and promoting artists' rights
promote the work of artists who have suffered rights abuse or advocate for artists' rights
provide network support and assistance to these artists
educate the community about the plight of artists suffering from rights abuse.
OUR PROGRAMS
ARTwb offers artists the support of an exchange network with our members.
We currently have three programs in place:
producing promotional and networking events: art exhibitions, concerts and readings
supporting organizations involved in the promotion and protection of human rights
informing and educating the community and its leaders about the situation of artists in the world.
