History: The present location at the corner of Jackson & Mill Streets was purchased in 1839 for $60.00. The current red brick structure was built in 1886 which replaced a a log structure built in 1839. Over the years, additions of Armstrong Hall (basement & fellowship area), the educational unit, upper room, new offices, an elevator and a listening device for the hearing impaired have enhanced the facility.
