Founded in 1971, Bay Area Women Against Rape (BAWAR) is the oldest, continuing sexual assault crisis agency in the nation.  We provide 24/7 comprehensive services for survivors of sexual assault and their signifiant others. In 2009, our Sexually Exploited Minors Program (SEM) was organized to help the area's youths.
