About Us:
The Beaverton City Library, one of the busiest library facilities in the state, serves a population of approximately 106,000 (the population of Beaverton plus a portion of the unincorporated residents of Washington County). Each month over 70,000 people visit the Library to check out over 1.7 million items per year. The Library is 7 days per week and maintains a collection of over 300,000 items.
The Library offers traditional print materials including best sellers plus Books on Tape and CD, music CDs, video and DVD collections, foreign language materials, and much more. Many electronic databases and access to the Internet are also available on the Library's 80 public access workstations. As a member of the Washington County Cooperative Library Service, patrons have access to the holdings of the eleven public libraries that make up the cooperative.
The many and varied educational and community programs offered at the Library make it Beaverton's cultural center. For a list of programs and events please check the Library Event Calendar.
