Missions And Goals

Leadership means having the ultimate responsibility for successfully carrying out the organization's purpose, expectations, and goals, including communicating them to all employees, students, parents, and citizens.

The mission conveys the main purpose of the organizations with clear expectations for providing quality services and programs.

The goals identify specific targeted outcomes for improvements established by the school community (i.e., the organization's stakeholders).

School District's Mission (PK-12)

Belchertown School District's mission is to provide for the instructional needs of every student, in safe and healthy environments, by utilizing challenging curricula, appropriate instructional methodologies, current technology and effective assessments. To this end, the school district emphasizes joint ownership, respect and collaboration among administrators, teachers, support staff, students, parents, and citizens to support continuous school district improvement and to maintain a focus on student achievement.
