Jesus' command is what we are about: at Blooming Glen we are making disciples,the name of Jesus is spoken,his teachings are communicated and lived in an atmosphere of love and encouragement and the sacred stories of the Old and New Testament are shared.

As Anabaptists we affirm that the Christian life is lived in community. Therefore, it is in the gathered body that discipling happens. It is this community of believers that discerns, calls, develops, celebrates and sends forth our Spirit-given gifts; counsel is given and received; the Bible is interpreted and applied; and each person, from the youngest infant to the most senior person, belongs and is valued. We like to think of our church as a great greenhouse which focuses the nurturing light of Christ on us spiritual seedlings and encourages us to grow. As we grow we reach out to spread the light and growth to others.

One of Jesus' concerns at the end of His early pilgrimage was: When I return will I find faith on the earth? Our response to Him is,"Yes,in the congregation at Blooming Glen, we will have faith!"We are people whom Christ has joined together for worship, mutual care, nurture, fellowship and service.
