About Us:

Blount County Animal Center, houses the only open-access municipal shelter in Blount County, Tennessee, and has achieved a 95% placement rate for dogs and a 75% placement rate for cats through adoption, rescue, and transport, in conjunction with our partner: The Smoky Mountain Animal Care Foundation.

Our Mission:

To serve the community through innovative approaches to sheltering, adopting and spaying/neutering of animals and to educate the public on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
