History:

The Bowers Fire Company was incorporated in 1938. We are currently in our 70th year of dedicated service to the town of Bowers and our surrounding fire districts.

The Bowers Fire Company has a total of about 100 dedicated members of the fire company and ladies auxiliary combined. We have a total of about 25 to 50 active firefighters.

During the past few years the fire company has seen an increase in calls handled. We have approximately 100 fire calls, 200 to 300 ambulance calls, and about 15 to 25 marine calls on a yearly basis.

The Bowers Fire Company also has a Swift Water Rescue Team and we are in the process of setting up a second team. These teams are ready to respond at any given time when we are called to duty. We have 3 boats and a rescue unit and have recently converted our old ambulance into a Marine Rescue Unit. We are expanding our service in many ways.
