Hello all

The Brady Campaign has officially made it to the north western Illinois region to make our community and country a safer place!  The Brady Campaign was started after President Reagan's Press Secretary was shot in 1981 in the attempted assination of President Reagan.  The Campaign to stop gun violence was legitimized by President Clinton with his signing of the Brady Background checks in 1993. 

There have have been multiple other initiatives to curb gun violence however no bill or legislation can pass through the house, because of the fear and pressure from the lobbiest at the NRA.  The Brady Campaign however will not be deterred or intimiated by these initiatives from people who don't want gun control.  The Brady campaign is looking for members who are tired of this new status quo in our society where gun violence has become as American as baseball or apple pie.  If you would like to join, please go to facebook and look for Brady campaign: Western Illinois chapter group.
