Living with limited vision can be challenging, but it doesn't need to be a barrier to living well. Since 1919, Braille Istitute has given thousands of people with low to no vision the tools they need to live a satisfying and fulfilling life.
At Braille Institute, we provide personalized low vision assessments, consultations, training and talking book library services. We offer a wide range of classes and workshops that help people build practical skills to enhance their confidence and regain their independence. We also demonstrate gadgets and gizmos that make daily living easier and more fun. And, we do it all free of charge.
Volunteers make a world of difference. They are the vital resource that makes it possible for Braille Institute to serve an ever-growing number of people with vision impairments in our community. Every Volunteer comes to us with different life experiences, and we strive to match their abilities and interests with the needs of those we serve.
