About Us:

Bremerton Symphony Association is an incorporated 501(c)3 non-profit umbrella organization, which includes Bremerton Symphony Orchestra, Bremerton Symphony Chorale, Bremerton Youth Symphony, Symphony League of Volunteers, and Bremerton Symphony Endowment Fund.

Bremerton Symphony Association was born at a time when history was being made. It was during the bleak years of World War II that President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued a call to all Americans to make music a part of the campaign to support the war effort. Seven citizens of our community responded to this call and created the Bremerton Symphony Association under the auspices of the Bremerton Recreation Commission. Since 1942 Bremerton Symphony Association has been a vital part of the West Sound. In 2002, Bremerton Symphony Association’s 50th anniversary, September and October were proclaimed “Bremerton Symphony Orchestra Months” by Former Mayor Cary Bozeman.

Bremerton Symphony Association presents a broad spectrum of repertoire offered in four different series: main stage, chamber, family, and youth. Between all programs, Bremerton Symphony Association presents between 10-12 concerts each season, and provides many opportunities to engage and educate the community through concerts such as the orKIDstra series for schools and homeschool groups, and the instrument petting zoo. Bremerton Symphony Association has over 200 musicians – some are young students while others have been part of the West Sound community for decades.
