BFTB is a non-profit that creates text-based instructions via sighted instruction-writers, and blind testers, to help blind people build Lego sets on their own. This helps blind people learn about the world around them, and increases their self-confidence and independence. as such we do not “compete” with anyone. We work with LEGO to select sets to make accessible, so that the total number of sets available to the visually impaired is growing every week! BFTB posted 51 sets in 2023, and plan to post 100 more in 2024 with our global crowd sourced writing and testing teams. LEGO also makes a small (~20) number of sets per year available on their Audio and Braille site. We are in communication with LEGL in Billund Denmark every month.
