Brush Creek Baptist church began its ministry 191 years ago in 1824 in Randolph County in a small church built of hewn logs. Since that time, Brush Creek was relocated to Chatham County in 1856, approximately 2 miles from the original site. Generations of dedicated Christians have attended and served the Lord at Brush Creek, handing down their love of the beautiful rural church to each generation that came after them.
The vision of Brush Creek Baptist Church is to exemplify Matthew 5:13-16 in being the salt and light of the earth, a preserving and visible influence to the people in our community. Allowing God to use our offerings, our hands and our hearts, we will send the message of His unfailing love to others who need to know of Jesus Christ and come into a meaningful relationship with Him.
By worshiping and working together in harmony, God will be glorified and His purpose for our church will move forward to be a beacon of light throughout our community. Through His love and grace, we will press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus. That goal being Christ-likeness and Christ-oneness, to be in perfect fellowship with our Lord and Savior.
