Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club was founded in 1932 as a sailing club by a small group of sailboat enthusiasts, CBYC has grown steadily over the years in terms of its membership, facilities, and the scope of activities offered.
Tucked away on the lee (warm side) of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and overlooking LA Harbor, the CBYC clubhouse and marina are situated in the most pleasant micro-climate in the area. This unique location provides the finest (and shortest) sail to Catalina Island Coves and the absolute best all-around sailing and power boating on the West Coast. The winds found in "Hurricane Gulch" provide excellent conditions for sailors of all types of boats, from sabots to sleds.
