Mission:

The Purpose of the Amateur Trapshooting Association is to promote and govern the sport of amateur trapshooting throughout the world. Shooters in the various States and Provinces are organized into State and Provincial associations which control shooting in their own territories and conduct State and Provincial championship tournaments. In the state of California, this organization is the California Golden State Trapshooters' Association. At each annual California State Championship tournament, there shall be held a business meeting where the C.G.S.T.A. members residing in California shall be entitled to vote for State Directors. These State Directors constitute the Board of Directors of the state association and as such have the responsibility of overseeing the operation of the C.G.S.T.A. which has jurisdiction over all A.T.A. sanctioned shoots and tournaments in the state of California.
