Camarillo Christian Church exists to honor God, to reach and develop faithful followers of Christ, and to build the family of Christ.
OUR FAITH STATEMENT (What We Believe):
THE BIBLE IS GOD'S WORD
We believe the Bible is the inspired, revealed Word of God. It is without error and is the divine authoritative standard for every age and every life.
GOD IS THE CREATOR AND SUSTAINER OF THE UNIVERSE
We believe God created all things by speaking them into existence and is the ruler over His creation. God exists eternally in three persons...Father, Son, and Spirit...and these three are one, triune, God.
JESUS CHRIST IS GOD'S ONLY SON
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. He was born of a virgin; performed miracles; lived a loving; sinless life; died for ours sins; resurrected bodily on the third day. Through the shedding of His blood, He made atonement for our sin. He ascended to heaven, and will return to earth to reign eternally as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS CO-EQUAL WITH GOD AND JESUS
We believe the Holy Spirit, as part of the triune God, is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives within every Christian from the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit has a personal and active ministry in the life of every Christian.
HUMAN BEINGS ARE MADE IN THE SPIRITUAL IMAGE OF GOD, TO BE LIKE HIM IN CHARACTER
We believe people are the supreme object of God's creation. However, all people are marred by attitudes and actions of disobedience toward God called "sin." Sin separates people from God and causes many problems in life.
SALVATION IS GOD'S FREE GIFT, BUT WE MUST ACCEPT IT
We believe people are sinners and cannot save themselves by self-improvement, good works, or being "religious." Christ died to redeem all people. Salvation is a free gift available by God's grace through placing faith and trust in Christ; it cannot be earned. Those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith and be baptized into Him.
PEOPLE WILL LIVE ETERNALLY
We believe in life after death; everlasting life in heaven for Christians and everlasting condemnation in hell for those refusing salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
