Beliefs
Grace
Alone, Faith Alone, Scripture Alone
At Canoga Park Lutheran we believe, teach and confess that Jesus Christ is our
Savior and Lord, and that through faith in Him we receive forgiveness of sins,
eternal life and salvation. Being "Lutheran", our congregations
accept and teach the Bible-based teachings of Martin Luther that inspired the
reformation of the Christian Church in the 16th century. The teachings of
Luther and the reformers can be summarized in three short phrases: Grace
alone, Faith alone, Scripture alone.
Grace
alone
Salvation is the free gift of God's grace for Christ's sake alone.
Faith
alone
Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it
offers.
Scripture
alone The Bible is God's inerrant and infallible Word, in which He
reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ.
Come Worship With Us!
When we worship with other Christians, receive the Lord's Supper and pray, we
come close to God through His Son, Jesus Christ, and find forgiveness and new
hope for living each day. At Canoga Park Lutheran we believe in God's
plan of eternal salvation through faith in the dying and rising of God's Son
Jesus Christ and join together in worship to celebrate the Good News.
Canoga Park Lutheran offers a Traditional and a Contemporary service each
Sunday, along with a mid-week Devotional service on Wednesday evenings.
Our services are welcoming, practical, and serve as a powerful witness to God's
love and forgiveness.
