The Washtenaw County CASA Program was founded in 1987 as a visitation program, and became a full advocacy organization in 1997.  

It is a unique and effective collaboration of the Washtenaw County Trial Court - Juvenile Division and the Friends of CASA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Friends of CASA promotes the quality, sustainability, and growth of the CASA of Washtenaw County Program. We create awareness and provide funding and support for neglected and abused children under the jurisdiction of the Washtenaw County Trial Court - Juvenile Division.
