What we believe

Importance of a High View of God
Our understanding of God is central to the rest of our theology. It affects how we view the Scriptures, salvation, the Christian life, and the circumstances and trials of life. It is therefore necessary to have a proper understanding of God, that He is sovereign creator and sustainer of the universe, the great, the mighty, the awesome God (Deut. 10:17).

The Bible
We believe that the Bible was written down by men who were moved by the Holy Spirit and spoke from God (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21). All of the Bible, in its original documents, is inerrant and infallible. It is wholly true in everything it teaches regarding doctrine, history, science, geography, geology, or any other matter (Ps. 119:160). The Bible is the only authoritative standard, and is sufficient for all matters of doctrine, faith, practice, and godliness (Ps. 19:7-11; 2 Pet. 1:3).

Principles of Interpretation
We use the literal-historical-grammatical method of interpretation.
- Literal: Taking into account the original languages, the ordinary meaning of the actual words, and the customary usages of the language.
- Historical: Taking into account the historical context in which it was written.
- Grammatical: Using the proper rules of grammar, and taking into account the meaning of words, the function of words, and the relationships of words.
We believe in a consistent literal interpretation which includes prophetic passages.
