The Central City YMCA, Joliet’s very own “Y Without Walls,” provides programming at little or no cost for kids who attend central and east side Joliet schools. While the CCY utilizes the Smith Family YMCA for the pool and additional recreational space, they also have a number of excellent offsite programs.

Because of the Central City Y, hundreds of area children are able to play youth basketball each winter and attend day camp each summer. Meanwhile, local high schoolers receive mentorship and guidance to lead successful lives through the Teen Achievers program.
