Evangelical:
Over time, words lose meaning. In a very real way, this has happened to the word "evangelical." We have chosen to use this word to describe our church because we are classical evangelicals. By definition, we bear witness to the evangel (Greek : gospel); and like the reformers of the 16th century, we claim this title as we also seek to recover the gospel to our lost and dying culture. As Evangelicals, we choose to be known by our:

Dedication to the authority of Scripture
Reformational understanding of salvation
Adherence to both confession and creed
Covenantal understanding of Scripture
Presbyterian view of ecclesiastical government

Reformed:
Our church is doctrinally based in that realm of theology that was recovered during the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. We recognize that we currently live in a difficult time of church history. Due to the prevailing liberal culture, the impact of entertainment and the apathy of the church, there is the tendency for the church to react with a pragmatic approach to both worship and ecclesiology. We reject these new paradigms in theology and affirm that what the church needs in our present day is a new reformation and recovery of lost ground.?

Church:
We exist locally as a body of believers, but we realize that we are viably connected to the church universal. Furthermore, we recognize that we exist not only geographically as a local congregation, but as a specific fellowship within a distinct point in redemptive history. Therefore, we acknowledge our fellowship with the one true fellowship of believers throughout the ages and in the age to come.
