107 McAliley Street is home to the Chester County Historical Society's Museum and Archives. Housed in the historic 1914 County Jail, the museum is home to rare Catawba Pottery, the largest Native American Projectile Point Collection in the Southeastern USA, an Ordinence of Secssion, the Henry O. Nichols Photography Collection, Firearms Collection with over 150 examples of firearms dating from the "Indian Wars" up to the 2nd Gulf War and more! Public Hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 3pm with private tours available.
157 Wylie Street - The old Seaboard Rail Road Depot, built in 1888 houses the Historical Society's Transportation Museum. A car enthusiasts dream! Come see our eclectic collection of cars, wagons, and other surface transportation items on display in the restored Depot. Public Hours: Tuesday - Saturday from 11am to 2pm with private tours available.
